King’s Camp service day
What
We have a great opportunity to serve and minister to our fellow Rangers as well as everyone who will be using Kings Camp in the future. On Saturday April 20th, 2024 we are having a Service and Cleanup Day to prepare for the 2024 season and make improvements to the camp. Please join us for a day of service, fellowship and fun. All can participate, even if you just can be a runner for supplies it will be helpful.
WHO
We won’t refuse anyone to come and volunteer but we recommend 6th grade and older (Adventure Rangers and up). We won’t have any activities for younger boys and there is going to be heavy machinery, chainsaws, etc. Any younger boys are welcome to attend with adult supervision.
Projects
1) finish interior framing and insulation of upper room in Wreck Center.
Also a few safety rails using studs to match. Paint to match (brown).
Also put up cover boards on exterior and cut, hinge and frame puppet theater doors.
2) prepare ground and pour sand and edging. Setting paver stones for pads under swings.
3) Repair/Replace sections of facia on Shelter B and paint.
4) Remove glue residue and paint interior doors in Bathhouse
5) Grounds clean up (sticks and leaves) at multiple locations
Food
Continental Breakfast will be served at 8am for all volunteers. Lunch will be provided. Be sure to register so we can have enough food for you.
